At the end of 2018 the Cool & Heat Team attended a bespoke training day set up by our air conditioning and refrigeration suppliers, Daikin.

Tailor Made Training…

The training was the first of its kind for Daikin, tailor-made for Cool & Heat who were all required to attend including managers and office staff. One day with a full team of engineers off the road is quite an expense to the company but demonstrates the huge value given to ongoing training of the staff.

Product Range Familiarisation

The training, held at Trafford Park, was attended by several Daikin staff members including Tom Hookway, Mark Smith and Steve Warrington, a Daikin engineer.

The day began, as everyday should, with coffee, before Tom introduced his presentation on the chiller product range and gave the Cool & Heat engineers plenty of time to discuss the range and ask questions.

Next up was Mark Smith who discussed ventilation and AHU, who, again encouraged discussion with the engineers to help them better understand the products. Lastly Steve Warrington, a Daikin Engineer spoke to the team about service and Bluetooth checkers as well as offering a demonstration of the product range. The team were also given a full tour of the showroom and were shown examples of the equipment across the range.

Daikin D1 Distributors

Cool & Heat have been a Daikin D1 distributor for 2 years and the products are ever popular with our customers due to their efficiency and performance. Daikin is consistently developing new technologies so training days, such as this one, allow our engineers to be at the forefront of that development. We aim to continually cultivate the skills of our staff and ongoing training is an essential part of that ethos.

Setting the Bar High

Cool & Heat, for the 6th year in a row, successfully received ISO accreditation’s in Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management. It is within our core values to set goals for constant improvement across all of our departments to ensure we are achieving the highest standard of service. Our staff are fundamental in achieving these high standards and their training reflects this.
